About

Based in Los Angeles, Adrian began her performing career as a singer/dancer in musicals throughout Southern California. She has performed with Musical Theatre West, 3D Theatricals, and the Welk Resort Theatre in everything from Spamalot to Cabaret. She kept finding, however, that it was the music from the more jazz-influenced shows that captured her imagination. She began performing as a guest singer in cabarets and one man shows from Rockwell Table & Stage to Vitello’s Restaurant. She was a regular featured singer at The Dresden Room with the iconic ‘Marty & Elayne,’ between 2012 and 2020, and continues to sit in with the Dave Moscoe Trio for a couple of tunes each month. Adrian has consistently performed as a guest artist with Matt Forbes and his Vintage Pop Orchestra in venues such as the Segerstrom Center for the Arts and Herb Alpert’s Vibrato Grill Jazz. She recently collaborated with Paul McDonald to host the first jazz night at Series A Coffee in Beverly Hills, and can be seen both singing AND dancing as a member of The Swing Tones, an Aaron Jacobs Production. Ms. Mustain can hold her own with a big band, while also settling into the chill vibe of a piano trio.

"When I sing, trouble can sit right on my shoulder and I don't even notice."

-Sarah Vaughn

Factoid: Adrian’s love of jazz is inextricable from her roots in dance. Having grown up as a dancer watching Ginger Rogers and Cyd Charisse glide across the silver screen in chiffon and sequins, she wanted nothing more than to don similar articles of clothing on her own opulent stage reminiscent of the grand supper clubs of the 1930s and 40s. The dazzling influences of these iconic costumes can be seen in Adrian’s signature rhinestone jacket collection, of her own design. These classic films are where she was first introduced to the Gershwins, Cole Porter, and of course, Mr. Sinatra.
